And who are they?

Cherub has over 1,000+ Angel investors on Cherub (and counting). Cherub Investors range from high net worth individuals (Angel Investors) writing checks from $5k-$250k

Does Cherub raise on my behalf or lead rounds?

No, Cherub doesn’t automatically lead your round with its own capital. Instead, it gives you the tools, structure, and network to run your raise.

But in certain cases, through SPV options, Cherub can help streamline your round so multiple small investors show up as one line on your cap table. Ask us how!

What's the difference between raising on Cherub vs. raising venture capital?

The term “Venture Capital” (VC) broadly refers to raising investment capital from institutional or pooled sources. But there’s a key difference between VCs and angel investors, and that’s where Cherub comes in. Cherub gives you direct access to angel investors. Accredited individuals who invest their personal funds.

Angels often provide not just capital, but mentorship, introductions, and strategic support (hence the “angel” role). VCs, in contrast, typically belong to larger funds that pool money from many investors to back scalable, high-growth ventures.

They often write larger checks (e.g. $150K+ to start) and have a mandate to deliver outsized returns (e.g. “100×”).

Angels tend to have more flexibility and autonomy: they might be satisfied with returns in the 10×–20× range, and they often negotiate more founder-friendly terms. While Cherub does include some VCs in our network, our primary focus is on connecting founders to angel investors.

What kind of founders are using Cherub?

Our founders are early-stage startups raising between Pre-Seed and Series A+, with most being in the early stage of growth.

To be an ideal fit for the Cherub community, founders should either have a product or service in market (this attracts the most interest from our investor community) and/or show strong traction (this further increases investor interest and credibility).
